I want to be baptized

Baptisms take place the last Sunday of each month, in our 10A service.

Before you take part, below are a few things to know.

#1

Water baptism is your first step after accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. When you put your faith in Jesus and decide to follow Him, we get baptized to follow His example and obey His command to baptize His disciples. If you’re unsure about your faith, let someone at Revive know for guidance.

#2

Baptism publicly expresses your belief in Jesus. It doesn’t save you; we get baptized because we know we’ve been saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. We celebrate this moment of faith. When you publicly profess your faith by getting baptized, expect cheers and applause.

#3

Baptism is a personal choice. Many people get baptized as children or due to religious upbringing. We encourage anyone who hasn’t made this decision to take it for themselves, not because someone else said they should. This is a moment between you and God, where you affirm your faith and say, “The old is gone. The new is come.” We’re excited for you to take this step in your relationship with Jesus!
